Welcome to GLEN BERNARD CAMP
Summer Camp for Girls

Glen Bernard Camp provides a caring experience in which campers and staff develop self-confidence. The environment fosters both independence and group belonging. Fun is fundamental to the success of GBC.

Glen Bernard Camp is one of Ontario’s premier summer camps for girls and Outdoor Education Centres for co-ed school groups. Located just north of Huntsville and 6 km west of Algonquin Park in Ontario, GBC is ideally situated on 700 acres of land with a kilometer of safe shoreline along the east side of Lake Bernard.

“Camp Friends”

When you dream of camp in years to be,
Above all else you’ll prize
Those friendships formed in camping days,
Beneath the open skies.

For comrades of the water ways,
Of trail and glowing fire,
Relive glad days, retell old tales
Of which they never tire.

You have shared so much in sun and rain –
Foolish things and wise,
And ‘neath the candid gaze of stars
Have worn no cheap disguise.

You have known the peace of silent hills,
Have learned what e’er betide,
Though paths of life turn east or west,
Camp friends can ne’er divide.

– Mary S. Edgar (1889-1973)
