Kids in Camp is celebrating 10 years of creating camp memories for children all across Ontario. As one of the founding Directors of KIC, Joc continues her role as the Treasurer. GBC welcomes campers through KIC every summer. In 2017, KIC supported 331 children, attending 71 day and overnight camp programs for a total of 729 camp weeks. That is over $120,000!
Glen Bernard staff and campers enthusiastically support KIC! For the past 4 years, GBC has put together a group of campers who walk in the 5KM Charity Challenge at the Scotiabank Waterfront Marathon. Each walker raises funds that directly support KIC programs. We are very proud of each and every GBC participant!
Our staff shows their support for KIC through an annual staff auction at camp. There are lots of items to bid on and the excitement reaches a fever pitch. This summer, our staff raised $5700 which is a record breaking total! We have a very generous camp community and are very grateful for their contributions.
