SPECIAL ACTIVITIES

Special activities at Glen Bernard are a cornerstone of what makes lifelong camp memories!

Campers will take part in long standing camp traditions such as Vista. Each Sunday, the camp comes together to reflect on a theme. We gather to sing songs and cabin groups will share their thoughts on that particular theme with the rest of the camp.

Rainbow Relay is held once in Period 1, 2 and 3. Each camper is placed on a colour team and participates in a camp wide relay race. Campers and staff look forward to the friendly competition!

At the end of Periods 1, 2 and 3, the camp gathers for an end of session Finale Dinner. The Leaders plan and execute the program which includes toasts to campers, staff, kitchen staff, awards, performances and an end of session slide show. After dinner, we gather for a final campfire and candlelighting. It is a special time for campers and staff to reflect on their accomplishments over their session.

Special theme days are an important part of camp! Days with pop culture themes with activities to match are definite camper and staff favourites. Star Wars, Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Scooby Doo, Super Mario are just a few that have been a part of our special days!
